Maria Belgrâce Center: Bazironde extends a helping hand to forgotten children
There are places we don’t visit often enough. Silent places. Places where suffering is endured without a sound. The Maria Belgrâce Center is one of them.
Here, children with physical and mental disabilities grow up away from the world’s gaze. They can’t ask for things. They can’t wait in line. Yet, they have just as much right to be seen.
In February 2026, Bazironde walked through the doors of this center. The volunteers entered quietly, carrying food packs, genuine smiles, and something even more precious: their presence.
Each kit—rice, flour, sugar, oil, sardines, beans—was carefully handed out. The caregivers greeted the team with shining eyes. Some couldn’t hold back their tears, because they haven’t been forgotten, because someone had come for them.
The volunteers reached out to the children present. A simple gesture. A glance. A shared smile. These small moments are sometimes worth more than any package.
That’s what true charity is. Not just giving. But giving of oneself.
Bazironde promises to return. These children deserve to be at the heart of every campaign. Always.
« You are the first to come to us. Your kits help our children. But your presence heals something. »
