Sarki Pawa Fulbere, Garoua: The Dignity of Sharing at the Heart of Tradition
Garoua. Capital of the North. City of heat, dust, and faith. And in February 2026, a city of sharing.
At the Sarki Pawa Fulbere site, a community waited. Without impatience. Without commotion. With the natural dignity that the Fulani people have carried for generations. Bazironde arrived. The traditional chief rose to welcome them.
This gesture by the chief was not insignificant. Here, the word of the sarki is a commitment. His welcome gives the action its full legitimacy. The distribution began in respectful silence.
Pack after pack. Rice, flour, sugar, oil, sardines, beans. Each name called. Each person received with dignity. No pushing. No disorder. Just order. Just respect. Just humanity.
What struck the volunteers? The looks on their faces. Profound. Sincere. Filled with a gratitude that words cannot always express. So they prayed. Together. Donors and recipients, united in the same prayer.
That moment in Garoua will remain etched in their memories. Forever. In the hearts of those who were there.
“Here in our culture, we say that whoever gives food gives life. Bazironde gave life to our families.”
