The Ngaoundéré 1st Town Hall Opens Its Doors to Bazironde’s Solidarity Initiative

Choosing the Ngaoundéré 1st Town Hall as the distribution point for the 2025 Food Pack was no accident. It is an institutional, accessible, and well-known location, and its symbolic significance reinforces the message: this action is official, recognized, and part of a community service initiative.

The mayor’s representative warmly welcomed the Bazironde team, expressing his gratitude for this initiative, which complements the municipality’s efforts in combating poverty. This institutional welcome added another dimension to the distribution: Bazironde is not acting alone; it is working in harmony with the local authorities who share its values.

The beneficiaries—widows, orphans, the elderly, and people with disabilities—were referred to the town hall by municipal employees and community leaders. The list was carefully compiled to target those who truly had no one to support them. This preparatory work ensured a smooth, dignified, and efficient distribution.

Each pack of rice, sugar, flour, and oil delivered that day in Ngaoundéré represented several weeks of food security for a household. In a city where the cost of living is high and incomes are often uncertain, this support had a direct and immediate impact on dozens of families.

The Bazironde team left Ngaoundéré with hearts full of gratitude: gratitude to Allah (SWT), to Muslim Aid Australia (MAA), to the city hall, and especially to the local volunteers whose mobilization was exemplary.

« This is the first time an organization has come here to distribute food through the city hall. It demonstrates Bazironde’s commitment. We support them and invite them to return. »

— A representative of the Ngaoundéré city hall, December 2025
